How to Fill the Pan Card Application Form?


  1. Only Indian citizens should use this form for submitting application for allotment of PAN.
  2. Click on "Apply Now". Fill the application form and select the proofs of Identity, Date of Birth and Address you would like to submit.
  3. Make an online payment using Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking.
  4. Print the PDF application form received on your e-mail. Sign in the box provided, paste two photographs, and submit the application form with supporting documents by post/courier (check the requirements below)
  5. Once your application and documents are received. Tax officials begin the processing of your PAN. An acknowledgement number will be sent to you to track the status of your PAN.
  6. Physical PAN Card will be delivered at your door.

  • Gas Bill (not more than 3 months old)
  • Landline Telephone or Broadband Connection Bill (not more than 3 months old)

  • Aadhaar Card issued by the UID
  • Elector’s photo identity card
  • Driving License
  • Passport
  • Matriculation certificate or Mark sheet of recognized board
  • Birth certificate issued by the municipal authority or any office authorised to issue birth and death certificate by the Registrar of Birth and Deaths or the Indian Consulate
  • Domicile certificate issued by the Government
  • Pension payment order
  • Marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages

Photo Requirements


Applicants are required to paste two recent colour photographs on the Pan Card Application Form. Background color can be white or light blue. Photo sizes must be: 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm.

Don’t use normal printer paper to print the photos. It is advised to get the photo from a local photo studio or center. Photo must be printed on proper photo paper.

Pan Card Processing


After the receival of physical documents, tax officials begin their processing. The processing of a New PAN card takes approx 15 to 20 working days.
